Girona Cycle Training Camp Mar 15-19
This four day professionally guided training camp provides the ideal environment to kick start your 2017 season.
In the heart of beautiful Catalonia, Girona has become the established hub of the professional cycling community, and not without good reason. The area offers a favourable climate, predominantly traffic-free roads and a wide variety of excellent training routes. With rolling terrain in the foothills of the Pyrenees, the region also boasts a spectacular Mediterranean coastal road, making it perfectly suited to banking those early season kilometres.
With this in mind, the majority of the rides will be conducted at endurance intensity with the addition of controlled high intensity drills and efforts. Ride distances will range from 110 – 150km per day on training routes established by the local pro cyclists. Hone your peloton riding skills, test your legs and identify areas to work on ahead of the season.
Base camp is a modern, urban four star hotel in “Les Pedreres”, a well-known residential area in Girona with superb views across the city and surrounding countryside. The Plaza Catalunya, Muralla Carolingia (the city wall, unique in Europe) and Girona Cathedral are a few minutes walk away.
Mallorca Cycle Training Camp Apr 5-9
Four days of quality training professionally guided and supported in the stunning Serra de Tramuntana Mountains of Northern Mallorca (Deià).
From GPM10’s new base, the 4-star Hotel Costa d’Or, situated close to Deia on the northern coast line, you’re right in the heart of the Tramuntana mountains. Explore exciting new routes towards the island’s western coastline and more established routes over the Colle de Puig Major and the infamous Sa Calobra climb. The ride itinerary for the four days will cover approximately 500km with plenty of climbing and endurance miles in preparation for key events later in the season.
Each ride at the camp is professionally led by experienced guides with the dedicated ‘service course’ provided by the GPM10 team car. The four days will be structured to ensure rides become gradually more demanding through the week, whilst also allowing for appropriate rest and recovery.
