Brainpower in action - Good company at PerformancePro

Clients and guests joined us for Brainpower in Action, a night of inspiration, celebration and food for thought powered by PerformancePro. The evening also helped raise funds for Help for Heroes.

Director Dan Boulle set the scene,

“The PerformancePro philosophy is all about intelligent personal training and fitness for life, as we work with minds as well as muscles.

Tonight we’ve invited some like-minded guests to showcase how smart thinking, applied in an exceptional way, creates an outstanding outcome.”

We were delighted to have 5 News presenter and sports journalist Matt Barbet with us to host the evening. To warm applause Matt welcomed our first guest Steven McCulley to the stage.

Brainpower in Action

Former Major in the Royal Marines, Steve shared his Battlefield to Business insights.  Steve was blown up in 2011 in Afghanistan and his injuries cut short not just his military career but also his dreams of competitive cycling.

In between extensive surgery and rehabilitation, Steve pursued a passion he’d had since childhood and founded LIOS Bikes named after his own children, Lily and Oscar.

Steve then introduced another special guest, the LIOS Nano, the world’s finest and possibly the coolest carbon folding bike. There was a tangible buzz in the room and our next guest Steven Novick couldn’t wait to get his hands on the Nano!

Food for thought

Steven Novick is founder of Farmstand and another like-minded friend and loyal client of PerformancePro.

Steven likes to keep things simple and summed up his approach with the following, “Life is short. Less is more. Eat well. Never rush.” He also believes, “PerformancePro is the finest training fitness gym around.”

Not surprisingly, we agree!

The Farmstand story and ethos inspired us last night. Literally food for thought, it also made us feel hungry…

So we all enjoyed Farmstand’s deliciously healthy food, a fantastically beautiful and tasty array of salmon, chicken and roast aubergine pots, cold pressed juices and awesome muffins and brownies!

In a nutshell, last night’s Brainpower in Action was all about good company and good food amongst like-minded friends.

Thank you to everyone for your support.
