Already training at home? We can help.
Of course, we’re really looking forward to welcoming you back to PerformancePro as soon as we can. We are busy developing our Ready to Train measures to help get you back into training with us, in a way that is as safe as possible and works for you.
In the meantime, the PerformancePro team has put together some top tips to help keep you motivated and take a look at areas of your home training you may be neglecting or reluctant to try.
Stretching and flexibility
We are all definitely not doing enough! And longer periods sitting down, increased time on phones, laptops etc will not be helping. 10 minutes a day can make all the difference. We recommend you focus on hips, hamstrings, chest and glutes. A google search brings up a number of excellent routines or check out the app START STRETCHING.
Meditation
Yes, we’ve all tried it and maybe given up after day 3! We recommend the 10 minute meditation app YOGA NIDRA. It’s really easy and can be done at any time of the day. Other apps and practices include CALM and INSIGHT TIMER
Core and stability
We often neglect the fundamentals that create an excellent back bone to any fitness regime. So we recommend using this time to master the PLANK and SIDE PLANK, SUPER MAN, SINGLE LEG BRIDGE and PRESS UP.
Remember to ensure you keep good form, so work on doing these exercises slowly and in a controlled way. Check out this PerformancePro Training Video
Yoga
Yoga is an excellent way to build strength, increase flexibility and balance, to name but a few of the benefits! Online classes are tailored from the complete beginner to the most advanced. A great site to check out is YOGA GLO
Some of our coaches are offering 121 sessions via Zoom and Facetime. You can get in touch with them directly or via anthony@performance.fitness.
We are really looking forward to seeing you again in person as soon as possible. BUT, as ever, your health is our priority, so we will only open up PerformancePro when it is safe to do so.
Rest assured, you’ll be the first to know once the countdown to restart your training with us begins. In the meantime, we hope these suggestions help keep you on track.
Please stay safe and keep well
